  • Comments Thread For: John Molina's Trainer Predicts 'A War' With Terence Crawford

Conventional wisdom would indicate that John Molina Jr.'s best chance his only chance, really to upset Terence Crawford would be to bait Crawford into a brawl Saturday night. That type of fight could favor Molina, whose renowned power is perhaps his only advantage over the reigning WBC/WBO super lightweight champion. Crawford probably is too smart to be lured into such a slugfest, but the undefeated favorite has shown in many of his fights that he isn't reluctant to trade punches.

I don't know...Molina looked fat at the weigh in and didn't look in shape at all. So it appears he's not going to have enough wind to make it a war the whole fight. He'll come out fast and fade after five.

John Molina a nice kid but just a boxing bum and a sure loser

Boxing needs guys like soft John John Molina who go out with limited skills and face great fighters and get their ass whipped repeatedly for pay checks. With out stooges like Molina boxing would have a hard time getting easy fights for up and comers and easy title defenses for champions who want a break and an easy win. Loser John Molina makes a nice living by losing big fights. Not a bad way to earn decent money before career is all over. Praise John Molina for getting in there and losing well time after time on TV fights. The boxing world needs more John molina's.

Thank God we have 3 close matchups this weekend - but this isn't one of them. Out of Joshua-Molina, Crawford-Molina, Ortiz-never-heard-of I don't know which one is the bigger mis-match.
All eyes on Williams-Charlo and Concepcion-Yafai.

Nice attempt at making this one seem competitive, especially since Molina looked like an average joe at the weigh in.

I hope Molina proves me wrong and makes a scrap out of this.

loooooong time lurker. I'll weigh in here. I think Bud has this, albeit this is boxing and we can't negate from Molina's powerful punches. Molina imho seems a bit big for the division once he rehydrates as his size/weight advantage was apparent in the Provodnikov fight; surprisingly he boxed instead of brawling there. He boxed in that fight bit I think anyone that's honest with themselves knows Molina isn't outboxing Bud.
