I don't know of too many fans that actually LIKE Ward, though they respect his abilities as a boxer. The fact is that Kovalev actually has the chance to knock that smug look off of Ward's face. Kovalev looks relaxed, but he also looks threatening. He might end up standing over Ward the way he did to Sillakh after they had pre-fight words.
