Comments Thread For: Weights: Sergey Kovalev, Andre Ward Scale in at 175-Pounds

LAS VEGAS Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward both made weight Friday afternoon for their highly anticipated light heavyweight title fight Saturday night. Russia's Kovalev weighed in at the light heavyweight limit of 175 pounds at MGM's Grand Garden Arena, across Las Vegas Boulevard from T-Mobile Arena, where he and Ward will fight. Ward, of Hayward, California, also weighed exactly 175.

Can any of these ****ing amateurs take just one proper picture from a balanced angle that shows who is actually taller? So far I've seen pics where Ward is 2 inches taller, where Kovalev is two inches taller, etc. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHO IS TALLER.

Agreed but..... Kovalev looked a little dehydrated to me whereas Ward looked as if making the weight was not difficult at all.

I can't wait for the bell to ring. This is going to be a great fight.

If they both have seemed 2 inches taller at one time or another, than they are they same height.

Possibly.... but Kovalev always looks like that to me. He's got a drawn out face with the vertical jaw wrinkles that is deceiving. We'll see. He came in really light vs Chilemba on fight night so I don't know what's going on with his weight.

He was in good spirits tonight for sure!

Ward has a lot more experience going 12 rds, whereas Kovalev looked gassed in his last fight. I think Ward will have surprisingly good power and stop him late when kovalevs tank goes empty and it will go empty cause he will try to hard for the KO.

For some reason I feel like this is going to be a one-sided fight, no matter who wins.
