Former EBU super lightweight champion Ruben Nieto (18-1-1) has announced his retirement reveals Spanish website espabox.com. Nieto had a very tough time last time out where he drew with Ernesto Espana and suffered a subdural hematoma afterwards - apparently this was the second time he suffered this type of injury and out concern for his health long-term and respect for his family hes decided to retire.

It's a shame what a mess did Hennessy with the rematch between Nieto and Daws, and the laziness from the EBU. Plenty of delays and cancelations that made the champion to get frustrated and vacate the title.
