Thanks for the heads up buddy! ... i will proceed the same way you do from now on: write words, make sense, not say anything meaningful. I think i can manage it...that's what politicians do... doesn't look like it's too much work.Comment

Yes bravo to him....facing #1 contenders MANDATED to fight is something most champion pass up, they'd rather give up their belt , ask for time extensions or paying step aside money to contenders...so yes bravo to brook, showing balls, fighting the green good fighter. You seriously gotta understand the business in boxing, a fighter is never forced to do anything, nothing is MANDATED' ,all champions have options and choices.Bravo he is facing his #1 contender! that he is MANDATED to fight.
After he gets rid of the "green" fighter he can then move on to bigger and better things.
Now lets see how this all plays out. Hoping that he actually goes through with it and not just blowing hot air!!Comment

Champions getting stripped for not going through with their mandatories is nothing new.Yes bravo to him....facing #1 contenders MANDATED to fight is something most champion pass up, they'd rather give up their belt , ask for time extensions or paying step aside money to contenders...so yes bravo to brook, showing balls, fighting the green good fighter. Champions DO NOT have to go through with their mandatories.
They either VACATE or get stripped.
This is LESS about Spence fighting Brook.
It is MORE about Spence fighting for a title, any title and one that that Brook happens to hold. Spence has earned that right.
A belt is not a personal property.
IF Spence wins the title ( as i think he will) he will have to go through the same process. Look for money fights as the business demands AND have to fulfil his mandatory obligations or vacate the title!!!
A fighter does not have to be a cash cow to get a shot at a title.
Kevin Bizier and Jo Jo Dan were not!!Comment

(Serious Question) Are you ok mentally?? Nobody said champios getting stripped for not fighting mandatories was something new.. And yes thats what i said-'Champions do not have to go through with their mandatories- i said that earlier, youre the one saying champions have 'no choice' in which they do, they have options..And this"is" about spence fighting brook, because he is the #1 contender,Champions getting stripped for not going through with their mandatories is nothing new.

Just so we understand that the BUSINESS of boxing does not
preclude a champ fulfilling his obligation as long as they choose to hold on to the belt.
Simple. I hope.Last edited by slimPickings; 11-16-2016, 02:33 AM.Comment
