Comments Thread For: Charlo, Williams Not Bothered By Being On 12/10 Undercard

Jermall Charlo vs. Julian Williams is a very good fight against a junior-middleweight titleholder and a top contender. It won't be the main event on the Dec. 10 broadcast on Showtime, however. Instead, it'll be the co-feature to the featherweight bout between Jesus Cuellar and Abner Mares.

Glad he to see he doesn't have that "Why am I not a superstar" attitude and actually knows his place. Even though this fight SHOULD or COULD be a main event.

Why does this even matter? Do you get a bigger pay cut? I reckon your name gets out there a little more and the fight would catch more casuals' eyes, but is that that big of a deal... Win the fight and continue building that resume so you can headline cards. Geez, this seems so petty..

Well they're fighting in la and mares is one of the more popular fighters against a tough mexican opponent whereas jrock-charlo are not really well known in a division that doesnt get much attention.
But yeah i agree i think the jrock-charlo fight is more intriguing

J-Rock/Charlo is the better fight, but neither are accomplished yet. J-Rock probably would've accepted this fight off tv, he just wants his shot.

This is such an outstanding card! I don't care who is the main event!

not really interested in the Mares fight, all my interest is on the lmw fight - and don't care when/where/how it takes place

So Schaefer's Ringstar promotions throws the staus quo out the window? No watered down cards, so so main events & trash undercards on ppv? Mismatches & no name .500 fighters on cable tv? Overpayed top notch pugilists outpricing themselves to fight worthy opponents? Breath of fresh air for the diehard boxing fans? U betcha!!! Good luck Schaefer! & thanx!!!
