Well rumour has it that Golovkin was also entitled the PPV benefits now. The circumstance is that Abel recalls a 10mil then. DOes he want to skip another nostalgic offer that happened 25 years ago? Alvarez said the fight will happen, didn't say when, is there a chance that the fight might not happen if it gets delayed to 2018?

If it's really 10million (8 figure) plus PPV benefit, its about 15 mil net now versus 17 mil inflated adjustment from then. If I recall Norris vs Chavez was Lineal vs Lineal caliber with a catch acknowledgement. My point is Chavez vs Norris was just as significant then as it would be now in prestigious opposition. Golovkin can make a bigger name for himself if a rematch is a made.

Golovkin should take the 10mil because.....

1) it is a good offer

2) if he fcuks around, then Golovkin will likely miss out AGAIN..... as Canelo has already mentioned fighting Cotto, Lemieux, and Saunders, in 2017

3) Canelo has a ton of options, while 35yo Golovkin has very few..... golovkin-fans think it is all fun-n-games to blame Canelo NOW, but when all is said and done, Canelo will simply be added to the LARGE list of fighters who Golovkin could have fought, but chose not to..... and historians are not fanboys, they will look at the big picture and find the common-denominator

when you have a bunch good fighters on your resume, it is reasonable to expect/think that you would have taken some of the fights that did not happen had circumstances been different..... but when you do not have a top opponent on your resume, it becomes a lot harder to blame someone else

and the bottom line is, historians do not apportion blame, they measure results..... so shht, or get off the pot
