Comments Thread For: Hearn Praises WBA: Now Joshua vs. Klitschko Can Move Forward!

The WBA have officially sanctioned a blockbuster battle between Anthony Joshua MBE and Wladimir Klitschko for the spring of 2017 for the Super title but only if Joshua successfully defends his IBF World Heavyweight title against Eric Molina at the Manchester Arena on December 10, live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and on SHOWTIME in the US.

Heard it all before. Expect at least another 2 bum tune ups for joshua in 2017 before he faces klitsko.

Why did it take so long - WBA like money and they would've got **** loads from it

IMO Hearn and Klit have decided to make this a stadium fight and try and sell out Wembley next year more money - just don't negotiate in the media and then you don't get called a lying git

It's very dangerous arranging massive fights like this when he has a fight on December 10. Molinas not great but he needs to be taken seriously.

This makes a complete mockery of the belts but it feels the sensible thing to do for the good of boxing as a whole.

I'm at a point now where I'm questioning the worth of these belts although over the years I wanted to see Wlad collect them all and considered them honourable and prestigious, where is the honour and prestige in bending the rules so they can partake in a PPV blockbuster.

Boxing is profoundly rotten to the core.

The year Wlad has had wasted by Fists of Fluff this makes up for it but I would much rather have seen Wlad vs Browne or Ustinov first to see what he had left, if Joshua wins it still leaves questions marks over where Wlad was at even though he had significantly slowed in victories over Leapai, Pulev and Jennings before the Fluff defeat.

You say that as if Joshua's side is the reason the fight won't happen on Dec. 10th... If Wlad didn't care so much about the WBA title (I don't know why), this fight probably would have been scheduled already.

OK Klit... NOW what's your excuse for avoiding Joshua? Cuz anyone who knows a thing about boxing is ready for the myriad of excuses to start showing up.

What would be great is a Joshua KO over Wlad, then Ortiz ices Joshua. Ha

That's why I luv the sport... endless possibilities. Luv pro feetsball too... but there isn't any wiggle room to put together matchups like in boxing.

So Hearn doesn't mind one bit of his bluff getting called for 10-Dec, & buries this under the rug.. Wlad still has got the influence to pull this through.. Super fight!

Praises the WBA for adding another belt? Isnt this what they were trying to eliminate?

I love the fight but for a fake belt....
