I feel like HBO sold him on huge paydays when he started appearing on the network, and now they're backing way off those promises. Hopefully Gonzalez faces the reality of his worth and what HBO is willing to finance and makes these fights.
As much as I like the guy, hes got to understand the market just isnt there for these pint sized fighters, its great that he's getting air time on HBO, but the 115 pounders dont move the needle , just fight inoue already.
He's been an under card fighter and just headlined his first show. How does he expect to get payed what he wants when he probably brought in between 1 and 2 million in revenue his last fight? He deals with K2 and they're cheap, they only want to pay GGG.
