Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz Plans To Demolish Scott, Impress Matchroom Brass

Top heavyweight contender Luis "King Kong '' Ortiz (25-0, 22 KO) is planning to put on a show when he faces Malik Scott on November 12th in Monaco. A few months ago Ortiz parted ways with Golden Boy Promotions and his career appeared to be in limbo, but last week a blockbuster was announced when Eddie Hearn of UK-based Matchroom Sport revealed that he signed Ortiz to a promotional agreement.

Someone needs to write Scott's obituary now. Could be murder in the squared circle.

I hope Scott wins. However impossible that may seem. I always love an underdog winning.

Everyone writing off Scott like he is a piece of s***. Disgusting, he may have gotten iced early against Wilder but he schooled the s*** out of Alex Leapai and Tony Thompson. He also gave Vyacheslav Glazkov a boxing lesson only to get a BS draw. Scott is a pugilist and will test Ortiz's patience. In saying that Ortiz TKO4 for me.

Scott is a little less risky than a Mansour or Cunningham, but sooner or later Ortiz has to step it up.

If you look at his boxrec he was fighting losers up until the last two fights. He even fought a bum making his pro debut when he - Ortiz- had about 18 or so wins.
The tomato cans Ortiz fought to this point is shameful.

Ortiz 2 hardest fights were his last two, Bryant Jennings, and Tony Thompson.

Scott is on the same C+ grade level.

If Ortiz wants to be taken seriously, he needs to fight a Mansour, Cunningham, Whyte, Breazale, Miller, Ogonoh, Washington, etc.

                    Makes a lot of sense...

"Hearn is planning to keep Ortiz very busy..."

                    Two paragraphs later...

Hearn wants to bring him along slowly to properly build up his stock.."

                    WTF?
