This may go on until Marquez is 50, just like Hopkins refuses to walk away and also inactive since 2014

Unless he's fighting GGG it don't matter how his body responds. He will find a suitable opponent. Maybe berto.

We're talking about a bad knee here, not a stubbed toe. No matter who he fights, his farewell fight or fights will be against elite fighters. That will require him to cut the ring off, use lateral movement, not just rely on being a counter puncher. His knee won't be able to handle that. Sergio Martinez was younger than Marquez and short of a professional soccer player and well, he self destructed post-surgery. I'd like to see him fight again but not at the expense of looking old overnight.
