Kanat Islam, also known as Hanati Silamu, is an ethnic Kazakh, who has never fought in his native land as a pro, and who has never represented it as an amateur. It just happened he was born in Altay, Xinjiang, the westernmost Chinese region. Silamu/Islam represented China twice in Olympic Games in 2004 and in 2008, getting a bronze medal in the latest installment.

Yeah, tough fight.
He isn't an old amateur or at least two time olympian like Lomachenko, Usyk, Valdez, Beterbiev, etc...
He is actually quite young, but i'm happy that they are moving him fast.
