Comments Thread For: Showtime To Go Dark For The Month of October

There was talk of Showtime - which didn't have any major bouts scheduled for this month - picking back up in October. Some of the fights being mentioned were Danny Garcia-Andre Berto, Dejan Zlaticanin-Mikey Garcia and Jermall Charlo-Julian Williams - but it looks like those fights will not be taking place next month and therefore Showtime will essentially be going dark.

If Swift isn't fighting next month they need to just go straight to the Thurman fight *** these tuneups!

Doesn't Thurman have to fight David Avandsyan next anyway.

Thatd be bad news man. Thurman loves fighting guys off long lay offs, hes made a killing off it lately. DSG needs a tune-up of decent quality, Molina dont fit that mold though. Diego Chaves or Sadam Ali would be a nice tune up. Latino fighters need to stay 1 step ahead of Haymon and his favored fighters.

It wouldn't be the best thing but he needs to fight someone good now two tuneups were enough.

                Huh???

Showtime has had way more fights on the network (non-PPV) than HBO this year. Numbers aren't even close.

If any network has gone dark, it's HBO.

Looks like they might end this year with 500k as their highest rating.

I mean if Garcia does fight why not Thurman get that out of way now.
