Canelo Alvarez expressed appreciation for Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s stance on Alvarez not needing to move up to 160 pounds to fight Gennady Golovkin. When Mayweather's comments were relayed to him early Sunday morning, Alvarez told FightHype.com, "Thank you to him. Thank you so much for his support. All the support, no matter who it comes from, is appreciated."

Umm Floyd, pretty sure GGG said many of times he wants to be undisputed MW champ before he moves up. And Canelo, don't be fooled, your lose to Floyd was one sided and it's incredible that it was a majority dec.

Golovkin never talked about that till Ward scared him. Golovkin is a wimp.

yeah he was so scared of ward he tried to fight him and froch and they both said no, only then did he decide to stay at 160. then years later ward came back with a 50-50 offer which obviously is a joke and was rejected. you know all this of course but you don't care.

canelo suffering from delusional loser syndrome. floyd wasn't able to do things he normally does? thats the only fight in years he actually looked good in. you played right into his hands. he didn't do much because you didn't do much but he did more than you cause you can't cut off the ring or throw lead punches to save your life. soon you are going to be saying it was a robbery.

I like to see this kind of thing. I had my doubts in his earlier years but Canelo is coming up to be a mature, classy fighter that keeps developing, in and out of the ring. I've never called myself a 'fan' but he's starting to win me over. He just needs to bump up the level of comp, as do the majority of champs out there.

All in all canelo is one of the best counter punchers I've ever seen. For a guy with such slow feet he has impeccable placement and spatial awareness it makes him look quicker than what he is.

We saw the difference with floyd though.

You ginger dummy the only reason Floyd cares is because he wants you to retire with him being the only L on your record. GGG knocking you tf out in under 6 rounds sort of diminishes his win.
