  • Comments Thread For: Jacobs: Mora Living Off' Dropping Me; That's Only Punch He Landed

Daniel Jacobs acknowledges that his rematch with Sergio Mora on Friday night wouldn't have been scheduled if he had his way. He would've preferred fighting WBO title-holder Billy Joe Saunders in a middleweight championship unification fight, but Saunders (23-0, 12 KOs) wasn't nearly as interested in it. And while appealing from the standpoint of potentially strengthening his legacy, Jacobs contends a showdown with fellow middleweight knockout artist Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) wouldn't have paid him what he thinks that admittedly dangerous fight is worth.

That makes it look a bit worse though. You got dropped by the only punch that landed.

it's pretty embarrassing considering Mora is shot, his knees are totally gone, he was lucky to beat Han and he is totally feather fisted.

not really a good look...especially considering he was badly hurt lol.

Exactly. Jacobs needs to shut up and win his fight. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mora win.

So true. Would love to see a 154 pound fight between mora and Malinaggi in a 10 by 10 ring. I bet they could break wind much less the others faces if they hit each other 100 times each. Would like like two idiots slap boxing on the street corner.

                  I don't like Mora's chances but Jacobs is a 30-1 favorite? Hmmmmm

Put $10 dollars on Mora and you will make $300 not a bad bet since Jacobs has a glass jaw. I give Mora a shot because he dropped him pretty hard.
