Comments Thread For: Francisco Vargas Likes The Idea of Unification in First Fight Back

WBC super featherweight world champion Francisco 'Bandido' Vargas (23-0-2, 17KOs) is still not certain if he will be capable of fighting again before the year is up. Vargas had back to back Fight of The Year wars, winning by knockout over Takashi Miura last November and then going to a twelve round majority draw with Orlando Salido in June.

wont happen..lomo will demand 850k...tell vargas to take 350k even though vargas out did lomo's attendance in every fight of his career likely..

tbh it doesn really need to happen..vargas needs a few normal level figths or he is old news pretty soon imo

I like Vargas throw back mentality. But he's been in 2 toe to toe battles back to back and I'm not sure if it's wise to do it again already.

He's needs to use and develop his boxing skills more.

Vargas is a beast despite the nip n tuck war with salido he's still relatively fresh.

I think vargas easly outclasses Salido in a rematch he just got caught up the first go around in that machismo

I echo what people are saying here. I'm fine with him taking a breather fight before going back into another war. What about Andres Gutierrez or Johnny Gonzalez? Those would be respectable opponents you could probably sell. At the very least they would be big fights in Mexico.
