Comments Thread For: Daniel Jacobs: Brook Just Too Small To Survive Against Golovkin

Daniel Jacobs gives Kell Brook a tremendous amount of credit for accepting the dangerous challenge he'll encounter September 10 at London's O2 Arena. Jacobs just can't envision the unbeaten Brook, who owns the IBF welterweight title, pulling off an upset against Gennady Golovkin. Like most boxing observers, Brooklyn's Jacobs expects the Kazakh knockout artist to overwhelm England's Brook and win their scheduled 12-round middleweight championship bout by knockout.

No arguments about what Danny's saying. Kell can and probably will push Golovkin, but the natural size will be too much. The first 4 rounds will probably be the most interesting 4 rounds of Golovkin's pro-career to date.

Danny is right. You can gain weight, but can you take punches from bigger guys is the question. Now if you have great skills, the bigger guy's size advantage can be neutralized, just like Floyd did to Oscar, Cotto, and Canelo. Manny would neutralize bigger guys like Clottey and Margarito, with his hand speed and foot movement. We just haven't seen Brook display those kinds of skills against top opponents, but it doesn't mean he doesn't have them. Time will tell!

Brook is fighting GGG because cowards like yourself, who is in the same weight class, refuses to fight him. Jacob, you should be ashamed yourself and refuse to open your mouth when GGG name comes up.

While Jacobs and other top MW's have ducked Golovkin, it still doesn't excuse the Brook fight.

Last time I check once the fiasco with GGG/Canelo was over WBA was suppose to order that fight and didn't and loeffler and co used the excuse well we heard Jacobs suppose to be fighting mora when contracts wasn't even signed for that fight yet so if either guy wanted that fight next it would be made already by one of them going to WBA and asking them to enforce ruling they stated they would if unification with Canelo didn't happen

Jacob spouts off about once a week on GGG's opponents I don't see him stepping up 4 a challenge...

at what point in the discussion did Team Golovkin come to that conclusion?
