Helsinki, Finland - Finnish middleweight Amin Asikainen won the vacant EU title with an impressive fifth round knockout over experienced Frenchman Christophe Tendil. Asikainen boxed carefully on the move, picking his shots and was ahead on points after four rounds. Tendil upped the pace in the fifth and got Asikainen against the ropes. This time the Finn didnīt move away but traded with his opponent landing with a good left hook, fielding a right before scoring with a perfect counterpunch, a short powerful right.
