  • Comments Thread For: Errol Spence on The Hunt, Aims To Slay a Lion in Brooklyn

There's no fewer than a million and one avenues or convenient detours a fighter can navigate, in route to doing things incorrectly. The "Sweet Science" is littered with instances of those who soured and couldn't stay on the straight and narrow in the ring, out of it, or both. There's even been historically successful prizefighters who've won the bulk of their bouts in less than textbook fashion; the wrong way, in other words.

So being Italian makes you inferior? When washed up Black fighters like Roy Jones and Mosley fight do you also mention their race and say "shot to **** Black"? Obviously, not. But it's not surprising coming from a PC-double standard having POS like you. Your message is being reported.

Who has Leonard Bundo beaten? Did he win one round against Thurman? NO! So why would we want to see the most talented young welterweight against someone with no power who also can't win rounds?

Bundo got no power. Bundu got no rounds. Bundo got nothing to lean on to ever make this fight competitive. Bundu got no chance. This fight a joke!

Errol you 26 already. That's your athletic prime years. Fight Thurman already. Fight Porter already. Fight Manny, Floyd, Crawford, Danny Garcia just so boxing can move past the hype job to better fighters. Fight some real competition already!

This is an IBF eliminator. If Spence wins he becomes the mandatory for Kell Brook's 147 lb IBF title. Sammy Vasquez, Ponomarev, and Lamont Peterson all passed on fighting Spence. Brook either has to fight Spence next or drop the belt. This fight was scheduled when Vargas and Brook were scheduled. Spence was supposed to fight the winner of that fight. How did you not know all of this? Are you a casual?

The point is why are they going after Brook's title? Why are they going after the one non-Haymon guy? He should be going after Thurman, or Garcia. Brook probably won't even fight at 147 again. Or do they know that and that' the reason they're targeting him? Is this just ANOTHER example of Al Haymon fighters trying to get a title without even having to fight anyone good, and then they can say "well we wanted to fight a good fighter like Brook, it just didn't happen! How could we have known he was moving up! We're innocent! We had no way of knowing! Believe us!"

I'm just sick of the bs man. Keith Thurman is the most dangerous fight for Spence on Haymon's side. That's the fight I want to see. He has the power to potentially KO Spence. Spence has the power and speed to hurt him. Great fight.

Spence vs Brook... Spence has almost every advantage. Faster, just as powerful, more athletic, better angles. Brook has good fundamentals and strength but so does Spence.

Spence vs Thurman, Floyd, Pacquiao, Crawford are the fights to make. So as usual Al Haymon is keeping him from ANY of those fights, which is why I complain. You can't understand that logic? Are you a casual then? You don't remember Stevenson ducking BHop because Haymon had a plan to get BHop stripped of his belt if he didn't fight by the deadline, and give it to Stevenson without having to fight? BHop came out and talked about that.

You don't remember Yvon Michel saying Beterbiev would fight Kovalev, but then when Kovalev offered Beterbiev a fight, they declined it, with the apparent intention of becoming his mandatory later, knowing he couldn't fight off HBO, to get his belt without having to fight him?

You don't remember any of these tricks man? That's why I'm ****ing skeptical with these guys man. I want to see Spence fight Garica, Porter, Thurman, Floyd, Pacquiao, back to back. Fight ALL THE BEST of your era. Don't cherry pick the easy styles. Styles make fights that's why you're supposed to fight EVERY style, not just some. These cats only fight 2-3 times a year so they should at least fight the toughest guy available every fight.

No kidding. It's like dude, you are fighting a grandpa in there, you aren't fighitng some "young, hungry, lion"....it's a past prime old man, lol. Just go out there and beat this guy but don't try to sell it to the fans, some of whom may have been fans of the sport since before you were born, like you are taking on the toughest challenge out there because some fans were not born yesterday.

After this, we want to see you in the ring with Garcia, it's time for him to go.

Because the IBF is the best route for a young fighter to get a belt because there aren't politics involved like the other belts. Do you see the IBF doing **** like the WBC and WBO not enforcing mando's? Why didn't Brook go the WBA route after Thurman's belt or the WBC route when Floyd was champ or the WBO? He's been a pro way longer than Spence and he just got the belt last year! You can't say Brook is better than Thurman and Garcia or Thurman is better than Brook and Garcia or Garcia is better than Thurman or Brook. None of the welterweights have set themselves a part. Spence went the route of the Ring magazine #1 welterweight and you're complaining? Thurman said Spence needed to prove himself and that's exactly what Spence is doing. The only WW out there that's trying to show he's the best.

It's amazing to me that a 26 year old who has only been pro for 4 years is criticized for trying to get a belt while a 34 year old is praised for trying to get all the belts.
