Kovalev has been on the floor more than Ward.

And Boone dropped Ward in Ward's 7th professional fight, that's not the same Ward that Kovalev will be facing. It's interesting that John David fails to mention that Boone actually KO'd Adonis Stevenson and fought his fighter, Sergy Kovalev, twice. Losing the first bout in a SD and losing the 2nd by KO.

It's no secret that Ward's chin is somewhat average, but he is usually crafty enough to hold or headbutt when he gets rocked.

Hey I question the dude chin as well. Not hating here...Like both guys. And it's not just because of the Boone KD. Ward's going to need to be as sharp as a razor in this. And look, Kovo has boxing skills as well. The odds will be with Ward but you can't count Kovalev out of this...

Kovalev's chin isn't anything to brag about either..He was dropped hard in full headgear and was put down by light puncher Camparillo.

            Ward has the better defense.

I'd be interested to see how well Ward handles getting hit flush with a straight or sweeping right from Kovalev.

                  I question Kovalev's chin...and his defense...or lack thereof.

..or how Kovalev will handle getting countered all night and hit flush constantly.
