Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Wastes No Time Calling Out Victorious Frampton

Guillermo Rigondeaux respects the outstanding work Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz produced Saturday night. The WBA super world super bantamweight champion made it clear, though, that he wants an opportunity to travel to Belfast for a fight against Frampton. The newly crowned WBA super world featherweight champion from Northern Ireland said in the immediate aftermath of his majority decision victory over Santa Cruz at Brooklyn's Barclays Center that he would welcome a rematch with Santa Cruz in Belfast or an all-United Kingdom showdown with Wales' Lee Selby, the IBF featherweight title-holder.

Rigo will eventually have to move up to 126 to get meaningful fights, that division has a lot of good fighters where he can make cool paydays, he's gonna be a tiny featherweight though so he should be on his A game and his team should be careful with his opponent selection, Rigo has been dropped a lot at 122 and guys at 126 can punch, even if Frampton connected clean with one of these left hooks Rigo will be on the canvas.

Sad how this guy's career has gone after he beat Donaire, all these cowards ducked him and he got no support from anybody, not even the repuation by the media as the real most avoided fighter in the world, and now he has to fight at a significant size disadvantage to bait fighters into fighting him.

One can only assume he intends on meeting Frampton at his new weight, props to Rigo but I think he is too small for that weight division he isn't big at all for his current weight division like some of the guys in the know have said he makes his current weight easily he isn't big for his current one.

Rigo is a bantamweight -- division in which he is relatively small; he already moved up to super bantam... not long ago he offered Loma a fight at 124lb...
... admit: Rigo is a small dude...

I don't believe Rigo tweeted that. He doesn't speak English, that's an advisor or a publicist

Agreed with the posters above Rigo is small, old and inactive and is prime for picking yet nobody wants him, what a sad world

In an ideal world they make Rigo - Loma.

The king , the " bones breaker " , rigondeaux has spoken. " rabbit" frampton ducked him , rabbit frampton abandon his title cause he knew rigo would beat him . Now that frampton has beaten " panticruz " , the joke " , frampton should fight rigondeaux.

Rigondeaux has had all these fake champs running fro 122 , if frampton really considers a great , he should fight rigo , otherwise frampton will pass in the boxing history as another coward who ran scared from
                The king ......

Rigo would smash frampton, rigo boxes better , defends better , has better speed , and hits harder , harder ... Ha ha . All scared of the king .

Where is panticruz??? Got exposed ..
Panticruz ran , ran from the king , but finally was exposed ... He was and will be a joke , a haymon fabrication ...

Hit and not be hit , swim and not get wet ; can not hit what you don't see .

...Rigo can beat Frampton easy on any given night, unless you have an Irish judge like Schreck...Loma will also beat Frampton easy too, but he won't beat Rigo.

Put little Rigo in a tuna can and float back to Cuba quickly

screw Rigo that non english speaking dwarf with no fan appeal and nothing to offer any fighter because of severe dullness and boredom. The Framp deserves money fights now in Belfast until beaten. Great win for Ireland. Keep it up Framp.
