LAS VEGAS - It has been more than a month since World Boxing Association (WBA) world cruiserweight champion Beibut Shumenov (16-2, 10 KOs), based on the much publicized WBA Cruiserweight Tournament rules and regulations, petitioned the WBA to either declare a purse bid for a title fight between WBA Super cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev, or strip Lebedev of his title belt for being non-compliant.

Shumenov is a joke. He hasn't beaten anybody good at LHW or CW. WBA just hands him titles.

WBA hands him titles only because of Shumenov's parents

Shumenov is a laughing stock in russian speaking pro boxing forums, the guy who's been giving a lot of opportunities and title shots in pro boxing on a golden plate not because of his skills (they're far from being extraordinary), but because he got extremely wealthy parents, so don't take anything that comes out of his mouth seriously. The idea that Lebedev is scared of him is ridiculous

Lebedev is a humble person who earned everything with a hard work, without rich parents behind his back, unlike Shumenov and hearing Shumenov trying to talk **** about him angered me now and I'm not even a Lebedev fan

While shumenov is not a worthy contender, WBA did announce to slowly get rid of their 3-trinkets per weightclass policy. And that is only possible, when their champs fight each other, even though many of their regular champs are not top guys

Less champs => less diluted champion situation => ??? => profit
