He said the fight would be announced within the next 48 hours. Says he's been in the gym training (I thought he was out of shape?) Talks about unifying the welterweight division and defending against the top competition. Talking about fighting Khan after he unifies the division. Said he's willing to take a pay cut to fight Vargas because it'll make him a bigger name and with two titles the dollars will go up. Wants the WBC and WBA titles. Said he's been fighting welterweight for 8 years and it is getting harder to make weight and he'll move up to 154 sooner or later and maybe 160. You get offered $4mil dollars to fight at Middleweight and you'll suddenly start to struggle to make Welterweight too

Brook has been struggling to make weight for some years, there have been a lot of fight pull-outs over that time. Brook genuinely is a big welterweight.
He's really a JMW, but he has shown not to be particularly effective at that weight.Comment

Yep, just like Margarito. A lot of fighters struggle to make weight but they do it because they're more effective in that weight class. And usually their weight advantage is more of a benefit than their skills.Comment

Absolutely.
A lot of fights today aren't necessarily determined by who's the better fighter - it's who can cut and re-hydrate most effectively.
But hey, that's the state of the game I guess.Comment

Anyone remember when he ballooned up sometime around the Khan and urm, forgot his name now, that kid from New York. Chris Algeiri. . . He was a pundit in the studio for the British broadcast, and his cheeks were proper puffy. He was probably around 180 then. He don't look as big as that now.Comment

Repeat a lie enough times and people will start believing it.Comment

Why don't you believe it? Shawn Porter walks around that too. Just cause he's that heavy doesn't mean he has the same frame size as a MW though. Guys like Brook have massive weight cuts. In MMA we see it with Conor McGregor coming down from the high 170's to make 145.Comment
