  • Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto Return in The Works For The Fall, Says Roc Nation

The return of former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33KOs) is being worked on, according to Roc Nation Sports President Michael Yormark. Cotto, who turns 36 years old in October, has been out of the ring since losing a competitive twelve round decision to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez last November at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

I have a strange feeling that Miguel Cotto and his family will look at the possible opponents and will choose the rival who is best for Miguel Cotto . . . and his family.

Hmm, could be Jessie Vargas if PacMan stays retired. Jessie Vargas at 150. Obviously he's no JMM, but he's still a champ and it sets up Mexico v. Puerto Rico.

I see an article every two months saying JMM wants to fight but he needs to see how he does in training. Just retire man.

As he should. Cotto was damn lucky to have a career resurgence after reaching such a low point that he got worked over by Trout. I didn't think he had it in him to come back the way he did. No need to pursue world titles any more. Take a couple fun, profitable matches and put that cash in the bank for your kids. He's earned it at this point.

Who gives a ****. I hope Cotto retires. Nobody wants to see him pick another can, or smaller fighter. He has plenty of young strong opposition at 154. He won't fight any of them though, because they would all beat his arse worse than Trout did.

Will forever be remembered for two things, taking a knee and ducking Gennady Golovkin just like Sergio Martinez. All Sergio is remembered for now is ducking Gennady.

Lol to come back the way he did? Fighting a 40 year old cripple and weight draining a mw who had to lose ten pounds for a catchweight in one week then losing to an overhyped fat ginger.

seriously doubt that a 4 division world champ who is a hall of fame lock will only be remembered for losing vs a guy with plaster wraps and avoiding ggg to make 30 mil fighting Canelo instead, when he wouldn't have made1/3 that vs ggg. Canelo on the other hand is avoiding ggg and taking fights that will earn him less money than he'd make vs ggg
