Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Ready, Says Bring On Bermane Stiverne Fight!

A few days ago, Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn was very eager about the possibility of having IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17KOs) make the second defense of his world title in November against former WBC champion Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21KOs), who still stands as the only fighter to go the full distance with current WBC king Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35KOs).

I wish he's stop talking about guys like Wilder if he's just going to keep taking fights like this. That said, I actually welcome this fight. We know how good Stiverne is, he's a great barometer for someone like Joshua to show us where he stands. Bermane will last and be a threat the whole time. Hope it happens soon.

If Bermane turns up this will be a good fight. It's unfortunate he was ill during the Wilder fight but he's a good fighter.

Joshua is going to be a great champion one day, but this jump up in level to Stiverne is not a wise fight for him at this point. Bermaine is very skilled, experienced, has fast hands, and hits hard. If he comes into the fight in top shape, he will get the win over Anthony.

Wouldnt mind this fight at all, not on the AJ hype train yet but if he blows away stiverne that would be impressive. Do think AJ is an accident waiting to happen though, stiverne is no killer but he could be the one to land on that glassjaw, hope he manages it tbh cause the joshua hype over here is annoying as ****

Sorry pal but how do you know he has a glass chin? Whyte was a puncher and AJ didnt look like he would go down.
