Comments Thread For: Barker Predicts: Golovkin Will Nail One on Eubank - And It's Over!

Former IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker believes British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (24-1, 18KOs) is taking his career a step too far by demanding a fight with Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs), who holds the IBO/WBA/IBF/WBC world titles.

Eubank has good power, Golovkin has better power. Eubank has a good chin, Golovkin has an even better chin. It just doesn't add up for Eubank. But at least he has the balls to face Golovkin. Or at least I hope he does. That contract isn't signed yet.

That's an interesting point. If Golovkin doesn't win by KO, many people would almost see it as a loss. I can see a late accumulation stoppage, but would English throw in the towel on his son?

He took his fair share of flush shots from Lemule in that fight to get David to open up for the counters.
