Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua's Fall Options: Stiverne, Jennings, Pulev, Parker

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is already lining up the next opponent for Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17KOs), who feels ready to take on any of the world's elite heavyweights after a seventh round knockout of Dominic Breazeale last Saturday at the O2 Arena in London.

Like the way Joshua progresses and climbs up that latter to the top comp of the division.. Hearn has been building him so well all along and it's amazing to think about the evolution he's gone through over the past 5 years. All hail Joshua, this guy is going to be around for a long time.

He took a pretty heavy KO from Ortiz, so did Pulev from Klit. Would rather see him take on undefeated Parker first and then move onto the other guys. Reckon it would be the hardest fight out of the lot.

I guess everybody pretending Ortiz don't exist

I think everyone will wait Ortiz out till he gets older then ask for that fight when he's pretty much faded. Every heavy weight acts as if he doesn't exist.

Stiverne and Jennings are still being discussed for AJ? Not the guy who EASILY beat Stiverne (Wilder) or the guy who brutally KO'd Jennings (Ortiz)? More shameless politicking from Matchroom. Joshua needs to fight a live dog, it's getting ridiculous.

IDK why everyone keeps bringing up Ortiz. Ortiz is fighting Ustinov in September for the right to fight for the WBA title. These are all good options for Joshua at this stage. I wouldn't want to put him in against Jennings coming off two straight losses, but Pulev and Stiverne make sense. One of those guys and Parker should be his next two fights, then you can set up some huge fight for the summer of '17.
