Comments Thread For: Froch Thinks Golovkin Will Struggle With Ramirez, 168 Power

Retired former super middleweight champion Carl Froch believes WBA/WBC/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) will struggle with bigger fighters at 168-pounds, and especially those with power.

Froch bias is unbelievable, then he says 'but there's no animosity'. Well, when you say something like this that's what you feel - animosity.

I think he would struggle to 3 or 4 guys. But at least he would move up unlike Froch who said he was too small to be LHW.

The fight night weights will play a big role when they meet up with ramirez possibly weighing 20 pounds more he might be able to absorb huge shots and remain on the outside to outpoint GGG. There is also the possibilty that Golovkin like Mayweather could be juicing hardcore and be able to walk down Ramirez by not being phased by anything he has to offer. Same reason why Ward wanted a shot at GGG after a few tune ups so he could fine tune himself and not be weight drained making 68'.

really 168 is a made divsion and back in the day. Froch would have to fight at 175. and really with be able to make the weight the day before these guys are really light heavy weights Froch never moved up to fight anybody that was a light heavy weight which he really was. so do not talk

Yet this small MW made you retire, Frochy. "Swerve him like the plague." Doesn't make you look good at all.

True and another reason to shut up is the statements Froch made when he was active and Ggg was pursuing him

“Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight.”
