Comments Thread For: Haye: Bellew Fight Must Be at Heavyweight, He Must Add Weight

Former two-division world champion David Haye (28-2, 26KOs) is open to the idea of facing WBC cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew (27-2-1, 17KOs) - but only if the fight takes place in the heavyweight division.

That's the only way the fight gets made. Haye isn't going to start dropping pounds now at this stage.

Bellew wants the fight, now it's time to put up or shut up.

Hearn would rather Haye drops down and takes the "money fight" instead of chasing his dream of reclaiming the HW belt and exposing AJ.

Haye isn't going anywhere, he will continue to settle back into HW boxing, with his new camp, new trainer and he is hungrier then before. If Bellew wants to move up weight to be violently punched in the face and hand Haye millions, then lets go, but pleased to hear Haye isn't taking his eye off the real target. AJ and the IBF title.

Move on it's a silly fight Bellew has only just filled out from light heavy.
Haye needs to start being serious at heavyweight if he wants to be taken seriously or does he want to kid us that this is serious ?

Haye's already in line for a title shot. He will soon be the mandatory challenger for the IBF belt and we now know the IBF are swift in telling their champion to make the fight (with the mandatory).

Haye doesn't need to prove anything to fans on forums who want to see him make "serious fights".

bellew needs to be humbled but it would take a lesser (and smaller) fighter than haye to do it

not really because valuev is a slow bum who was just schooled by holyfield with the same weight differencial. valuev is so slow you can time his punches with a calender.

Valuev is slower than a dehydrated snail. It was a calculated move by Davey too at the time, as he steered clear of Vitali and picked up an easier title. It's still a career highlight of his and he rocked the giant and made him do the chicken dance in the 12th.
