Comments Thread For: Thurman-Porter Makes Working Weekend Worth The Wrangling

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Covering boxing can be more glamorous for some than others. While some arrive at a fight venue a few days out and have enough downtime to blog about water pressure in the hotel shower, others have it other ways. Flying in on fight day, trying to navigate through New York City from an airport 40 miles away without GPS...

The fight was called right, I think Thurman would widen the margin next fight.

Thurman vs Porter was just a great free fight for the world to see

The Thurman vs Porter fight was 1000 times better than any little floyd maywether or manny paq fight ever to waTCH. Paying floyd and manny huge money is a waste of time and money. Pay fighters like Thurman and Porter more money and never again let some de****able piece of trash/turd like Mayweather earn huge money or manny the pinoy puke. Only pay deserving kids like Porter and Thurman the loot. keep boxing clean don't pay the scum

Pretty avarage fight pretty average fighters , right result no point in a rematch.
Thurman would probably be too strong for the basic smallish Garcia.

Not average fighters ace certainly not an average fight. Have you watched boxing the last twenty years??

Virtually every round was on the table for the full round. They gutted it out......just because fighters aren't dominant and actually are evenly matched doesn't make them average......smdh......

Tell me about a recent fight this competitive with fighters at the same level or better where safety first was not the goal??

You do know the definition of average.....right?? Because in case you don't you're saying half the fights at WW you see are better and that each guy would only win half his fights at the WW LIMIT........IS THAT REALLY WHAT YOU SAW? OR ARE YOU JUST BEING A COMPLETE PINHEAD??

If so, throw out 25 recent fights in the last year or so at ww that were better. Then go ahead and name off a couple hundred WW that are better out of the 1000+ currently competing......

Because if you can't, it means the fight was better then average and so are the fighters.....and we're talking fighters of this era just to be clear (25-35 give or take a year of two depending)......

While you're at it, throw out a top ten "better then average" list of current WW since these two guys and Garcia aren't on it, ......at least by your own words......
