  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren To Hearn: Joshua is Number 1? Let Him Prove It!

Those of us in need of a little respite from England's travails and a European Championship that has been less than gripping, as of yet, will be relieved to have some boxing back on the box this weekend at a price, of course.

Just one question Fwank... how exactly do you propose Hearn/Joshua prove he is the best, right now, in the heavyweight division? Who do they make a fight with that would offer this proof you so desire?

Last i heard the other titlists Wilder, Ortiz(?) and Fury as well as big names such as Klitscho, Povetkin and Haye are all otherwise spoken for and were already so at the time Joshua got his title shot. He won by early KO, without breaking a sweat and just as you would expect a future heralded star to do. No real biggie though as we are all happy enough to concede, that in retrospect, Martin was pants.

Those betting odds you mention only go to show how much of a gulf in class the bookmakers see between Joshua and anyone you care to put in the ring with him. I would happily put money down that you wouldn't see such wide odds if you matched Breazeale with any of the other top players in the division.

Unfortunately despite your wailing this is boxing and due to the politics of promoters like yourself the opportunities for proof of greatness are not a regular occurrence. If you think feeding Joshua the younger Fury you carry under your wing would offer this proof then you are sadly mistaken. It would very likely be yet another mismatch and yet another undefeated record destroyed.

Parker is next and a very live dog but you have to wonder how favourably he will be remembered should Joshua walk over him with the same ease as he has the others?

Basically until the chance presents itself to prove his talent Joshua can only continue doing what he is doing, and that is putting the other top name heavyweights to shame through strong, exciting performances against undefeated challengers, with quick fight turnarounds while building a huge fanbase and raking in the money for himself and his paymasters.

    Jealous, you, much?

Shouldn't you be getting Saunders a fight? Why are you even talking about other fighters when you number one fighter isn't fighting anyone? Prove BJS is #1. You talk a lot for a promoter who can't promote worth ****e! Instead of talking about Hearn fighters give us updates on your fighters
