Signing with golden boy is the better move though. Golden boy has shown they can actually build fighters, especially Mexicans.

So true they have become near to irrelevant, and so many other fighter that are with Haymon that fight once a year. plus last time I read (and it was about 5 monts ago) Haymon had anly 53 Million out of the almost half a million those companies invested in his company and his affiliates.

Robert Garcia has business with Golden Boy, Top Rank, and Al Haymon at this point; if the idea is to turn RGBA into a basis for a 'Garcia Boxing Promotions', consolidation is going to have to happen.

Why keep the prospects longterm with Golden Boy or Top Rank, when you can build guys under Mikey Garcia and tap the Haymon pool of possible talent to match them against?

It's not a fast process, but it'll work out better than simple hitching the wagon to one company.

True but i don't think he has any fighters signed to Top Rank or Al Haymon just Golden Boy. Now he trains fighters that are under Top Rank and Al Haymon but he doesn't manage them I believe.

The reason why you go with Golden Boy now is because their offering co promotion plus if Mikey Garcia goes the pay per view route he can get a paid more.

ALL of the big money fights are on the Haymon side of the ball so I'm very confused as to why anyone would want him to sign with GBP as it is right now. Mikey isn't fighting at 135. He's going to 147 in all likelihood. What fighters does GBP have at 147?

Why would anybody not do business with a true innovator of marketing for professional boxing, and a Harvard graduate ? Oscar does not have a degree from anywhere, nor is he a lawyer !!
