Sounds like GBP is where the smart money is at. The money offer sounds better + the promoter partnership is what I suspect really peaks Mikey's interest as I stand firm in my belief the Garcia family intends to start a promotional company and this would be a decent enough way to birth it and get it moving in the right direction.

The only upside with Haymon/Mayweather seemed to be that it's a short term deal. He threw in the additional benefit of fighting in July or August but Mikey who gives a f#ck at this point if he fights in July or September + I highly suspect GBP can get Mikey a get the rust off fight whenever needed on Estrella or on some HBO undercard worst case anyway.

He has done a great job with Badou Jack. The guy has been guided from a bad KO loss to winning the title to defending it twice. And now he has a nice money fight with James Degale coming up for the right to be called the best super middleweight in the world.

Mickey Bey has gotten several world title opportunites as has Ishe Smith. And J'Leon Love is in line for a big fight with Chavez Jr.

Floyd puts his boxers in good positions, better than they deserve probably. Sometimes they make the most of it and sometimes they don't but that part is on them.

Got Ishe Smith and Micky Bey world title oppouritnities and success's.

He's done a decent job so far I'd say considering its quite a poor stable.
        Thanks, I forgot about Jack.

Why is the Mayweather offer only a short-term agreement?

While Haymon was overpaying his fighters even fighters like Garcia who were paid well started grumbling and wanted more money than they really were worth.

And so, they left Top Rank..... and got paid what they were really worth.

Because Mikey refuses to consider a long-term agreement.

whichever one is going to pay him the most money is where he should go.

If you're going to start your own business you need capital. Mayweather Haymon deal will bring the most money. I'm not sold on GBP getting Garcia good money fights without significant risk while he still has ring rust.

Golden Boy the last year plus has been signing up most of the young blue chip prospects and Robert Garcia is training most of them. He is sending his hot young fighters to golden boy would be strange to see Mikey with haymon and Robert training the next wave of golden boy fighters. Not to mention all the smack Robert has said about Mayweather over the years LMAO
That's what I have been saying from the beginning. Golden Boy and Robert Garcia have a invested together on about 5 prospects (Tanjera, Franco, Navarro, Gamez, Rios) I'm probably missing someone but they have that already going. But all you heard from the Mikey was Mayweather/Haymon.

So again this is Mayweathers/Haymons to lose but Golden Boy just offered a better deal IMO.
