You think he's going to go to 140? Not challenging you, just asking if you really think he will or if he'll go for 135 (which is where I think he's going to land).

Lol It would sad and kinda funny if Mayweather doesn't end up getting Mikey. After the way Mayweather courted him, it would be a big blow to his promotional company (which isn't that good to begin with).

Mikey had to go zombie mode to make 135 he himself said he wants to fight at 140 but will consider 135 if the right deal presents itself . After two years off i doubt it.

Haymon- get paid as much as he was earning with tr but after a few tune ups forced to fight postol or crawford.duck

          Goldenboy- canelo mode

Not that I don't like the guy but he doesn't seem like an effective promoter for people other than himself. Maybe I'm wrong, but can someone tell me who Mayweather has really successfully promoted? I'm genuinely interested.
He's done a good job with Badou Jack especially considering his terrible loss to Derek Edwards.

Got Ishe Smith and Micky Bey world title oppouritnities and success's.

He's done a decent job so far I'd say considering its quite a poor stable.

What ever the case is Mikey was on top of the world and then two years of nothing?

Is Top Rank really the bad guy? Some times you just have to fight out of a bad contract. I've heard older brother Robert mentioned Mikey felt he was robbed of his youth and kinda insinuated the contract was partly an excuse. In another interview I heard Robert was calling out his brother "Mikey needs to get in the gym regardless of the contract."

I'm a fan Mikey two years is long enough! Get your ass back in the ring!

All Things Considered Golden Boy Is The Right Choice

All things considered he should pick Golden Boy over Haymon. All De La Hoya has to tell him is look at all the fighters who have gone with Haymon and how their careers have all stalled. And how the ones that do fight they have all regressed because of the lousy competition they face. Yeah, Haymon may pay his fighters more, but considering how most of his fighters are lucky to fight once a year those hypothetical millions remain just that, hypothetical. At least with Golden Boy he will fight more often and fight better opposition which in the long run will have a real impact on the respect he gets among fight fans and how boxing history will remember him.

Top Rank treated him fine and paid him well too. It's the Haymon effect that is part of it even though I agree with u on how Mikey has no real love for boxing due to what u wrote. While Haymon was overpaying his fighters even fighters like Garcia who were paid well started grumbling and wanted more money than they really were worth.
