September isn't a bad time to stage the fight, hopefully it would be a good war.

Brook has been getting more than £600,000 to fight Bizier, Dan, Gavin et al?

That seems a tad exorbitant. I wonder how much more, if true.

He hasn't been getting no where near, another lie from Hearn. 600k would have been highest pay day to date.

Much of what Hearn says should be taken with a pinch of salt. Possibly Brook earned more for the Gavin fight since it was on PPV, but then a lot of fighters needed paid for that bill, including Selby (world title fight), Mitchell (world title fight), AJ (big ticket-seller), Linares, Gradovich and of course Gavin. If Brook made more than 600k, it wasn't much more, especially as the PPV wasn't a big success by the sounds of it.

No way in hell Brook got more than 600k for the Dan and Bizier fights on regular Sky, not unless Hearn willingly paid him inflated purses (at a personal loss) to keep him from signing for Haymon.

That's what I thought. I didn't want to blast in, all guns blazing "Hearn's a bloody liar" type thing.

Hearn has listed the events Matchroom have lost money on in the past on IFL (Callum Smith-Mohammedi, Quigg-Salinas, Brook-Senchenko and a few more), so he can take a few on the chin, but he it's not because he's laying out mid-to-high six figures on the regular.

$1.7m ? Good for Vargas, I did not know the fight was worth enough for that.

That's what you gotta pay to get fighters to travel over there. So imagine what Danny Garcia or Keith Thurman would demand. Brandon Rios didn't even want to go over there. I think Bradley would probably travel for something similar to this price. Brook is going to have to travel if he wants those fights.

Damn that's a sweet deal for Vargas. Take that money.

Can you back up this claim?
