Comments Thread For: Bob Arum: Talks Ongoing WIth Al Haymon For Possible Fights
New York, New York - A recent court settlement between Top Rank's Bob Arum and power manager Al Haymon may have opened the door for possible matchups throughout every weight division.
hopefully this isnt like when arum said he would work with oscar which turned into hardly any big fights
Haymon doesn't need Arum so it's not like they're going to be making fights every month. Maybe 1-2 per year is more like it. The bigger fish is the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch.
Pacquiao is retired. No more pacman vs Garcia, Thurman, Khan, or Broner. Why cant Haymon make big fight? Garcia vs Broner, Khan vs Broner. Gary Russell vs Leo Santa Cruz. Khan vs Garcia, Garcia vs Winner of Thurman Porter. All the fights Haymon has made this year only one I cared is Thurman vs Porter. I think Postol vs Crawford is better since is the top 2 guys in the division.

The big fights take time to position.
-Thurman/Porter and Garcia/Berto this summer sets up the winners to fight each other in the Fall/Winter.
-Frampton/Santa Cruz, Selby/Warrington, and Cuellar/Mares is setting up WBC/WBA/IBF 126 unification fights to close out the year.
-Badou Jack and James Degale having their interim fights set up their coming unification this fall, with the Murray/Groves winner and ChavezJr/Love winner as options.
There's currently a tournament going to set things with the WBC/WBA/IBF 154 belts (Charlo-Hatley, Charlo-JRock, Lara-Andrade, etc)
