130 is a pretty exciting division right now. Especially after that war that just happened.

130 is the hottest division right now. You can literally mix and match Loma, Vargas, Miura, Salido, Rocky how ever you want and have great fights and great rematches. Hell you can even through Walters in the mix.

How many articles is Steve Kim going to write about HBO and that Salido- Vargas fight? We get it, it was a great fight. Had Haymon been in charge of that fight we would be hearing lectures from Montoya and Kim about corruption and drug testing. But not a word from the PED crusaders, seems they pick and choose there battles.

Between 130 and Cruiserweight, those divisions have a host of fights that could be instant classics and different varieties of match ups.

            Walters vs Rocky

            Lomachenko vs Miura

            Vargas vs Salido 2

            Then cruiserweight

            Doritos vs Lebedev

            Gassiev vs Glowacki

            Cunningham vs Kalenga

            Etc.

            Best vs the best

There are good action fights to make but no elite fighters in this division. Lomachenko and Walters are a good addition in that regard.

Ive been saying it forever, 130 is the best division in boxing. Anyone in the top 10 can beat each other any given day. Its a wide open division with good EXCITING talent. Its also a division that shows how diverse boxing is, theres a Mexican champ, PR Champ, Dominican Champ, Panamanian champ along with very good talent from other countries Russia, Japan, Jamaica etc... and a lot of 126lb fighters are on the brink or moving up. If I could have one wish for the sport of boxing itd be a tournament in this division between the top 12 and have it shown on national television. Itd put boxing on the map!
