Comments Thread For: Andrade: I'll Beat Both Charlo Brothers For Titles, Then Lara

Demetrius Andrade didn't waste any time making it clear what he wants to do after fighting Willie Nelson on June 11. Andrade (22-0, 15 KOs), who'll encounter Cleveland's Nelson (25-2-1, 15 KOs) in a 12-rounder Showtime will televise from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, said during a conference call Tuesday that he plans to beat both Charlo twins for their 154-pound championships before pursuing a fight against fellow southpaw Erislandy Lara.

Andrade, the Charlos and Lara are the same in skill levels. None of them are or ever will be elite.

I hope he's not looking past Nelson. Nelson can play spoiler again.

No one knows who the hell Andrade is more a ghost

Andrade is unknown everywhere in boxing and actually has no career. Poor management and never fighting makes Andre a nothing in boxing. Good

disagree I think one of the Charlos, the one with power may be able to carve out a descent career as long he doesnt face Golovkin.

Scouting talent isn't your strong suit if you can't see the difference in skill of a Lara or Andrade compared to the Charlo twins

i know demtrius' family a bit. met them when maceo crowder, his half brotherIIRC, was debuting. crowder was a SMW / LHW, and andrade was actully bigger than he was. nice family. maceo is a very funny guy.

ate lunch wiht them, and sat next to demetrius at a fight. no joke, i thought he was a LHW.

andrade is one of the biggest 154 lbers ive ever seen. kid was asbolutely enormous for the weight. big hands. big neck. just a much sturdier build than i was used to at 154. looked like a world class athlete compared to the guys who were fighting on the small shows i was covering.

i think they should move andrade quickly to try and get him big fights or a shot at lara at 154. he's not going to have the same advantages in reach and natural size at 160, and he won't be making 154 for much longer, especially with long layoffs. as it stands, i have no idea how these monstrous guys make these smaller weight classes. gotta be drugs. i really can't see it any other way. it has to be done with IV drugs and saline.

15-20 lbs of food and water in 30 hours ? sure.
