Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Slams David Haye's Recent Win, Briggs Fight

David Haye's brazen promise to bring boxing back to the masses might just have backfired after his latest night on Saturday. Haye makes no secret of the fact that his events' are not particularly aimed at boxing fans, those who study the form before electing to part with their hard-earned.

mMeh slamming Haye seems to be in vogue at the moment. The Briggs fight is what it is and anyway Briggs is a tougher opponent than Breazeale or Charles Martin. I doubt haye gives a **** what people are saying as long as they are talking about him.

Franks right for once. Haye is a conman, cherry picking his way to a chance at a belt.

Haye doesn't need to cherry pick anything ,hes good enough to step in the ring with any of the title holders win or lose . If Haye would have struggled against his last opponent they would say he took on a tough undefeatted prospect ,but since he won easily he is being penalised .Its all b.s how abourt Fury fighting mismatches like Hammer then getting Wlad? He didnt even fight qa Ustinov level guy but Chisora . Haye will still have to fight someone of relevance within years timeso who cares what pace he fights at. Nobody within title reach wants Briggs bc one shot can still end things and a loss to a 44 year old fighter means almost a guarantee of never fighting for a title yet Haye is willing to make the fight and risk it ,so who cares that he is heavily favored over Briggs .Boxing sanctioning bodies unfortunately throws away credibility with a loss which is why top guys avoid top guys as long as they can usually Todays fans arent much better than the boxing set up ,they see someone stunned from a punch and they lable them weak chin hype jobs ???
