Comments Thread For: Errol Spence: Vargas Will Need KO or Beat Brook's Ass To Win in UK

Errol Spence Jr. (20-0, 17 KOs) is still waiting for the situation to play out with the IBF. The sanctioning body ordered him to Konstantin Ponomarev (30-0, 13 KOs) in an IBF final eliminator.

You know what I look forward to the ibf title eliminator. Then the brook vargas match up you can't let the naysayers get you distracted you'll mess around and miss the boxing when really that's what we appreciate. Not color just talent and who's the best. All that matters

The UK isn't even that bad for judging. Why is Spence getting all caught in that BS about it. Yeah the scoring can be off but most of the times the right person gets the nod.

It wasn't even that long ago that Anthony Crolla was robbed in his hometown but Spence thinks the UK is just out to rob the away fighters.

Also Vargas/Spence need to stop worrying because the judges will not be even needed because Brook will most likely TKO Vargas.

Why is there a perception that the away fighter will get jobbed in Britain?

How often has it really happened? Only fight I can think of is Ricky Burns vs Raymundo Beltran, which should have been a Beltran win but was by no means a one-sided beatdown.

If someone is thinking Froch vs Dirrell then unthink it.

I like Spence but comments like this make me think that he is already planning not to go the UK to fight.

What about Lee selby's last fight and how much the ref intervened/ interfered in Selby's favor. I agree with Spence here. I don't think Vargas could get a decision unless he blows brook out. If the fight is remotely close the W will go to brook.

We see bad judging and poor reffing almost every week in America, but it's other countries that get a bad rep.

Honestly Spence isn't and shouldnt get the winner of Vargas vs. Brook because the winner should fight Garcia. The winner will be Vargas btw, I foresee Vargas vs. Garcia next year in Las Vegas...
