I believe he's at 15 now. 2 more this year would get him to 17 and 3 more in 2017 gets him to 20. He wasn't the unified champion the whole time, but good luck to anybody trying to do that and then break the number of defenses in this day and age. It really isn't fair to fighters these days to have to win so many trinkets to be considered undisputed champion. Not all of the old guys held a title, but at least when they got a shot, it was for all the marbles.

That was an idiotic comment yes, but the teenager who posted the ****** comment about Canelo fighting a transgender title vs. Jenner and the fools that applauded it, easily take the prize on foolishness and ******ity IMO. Also the bunch of fools calling Canelo and de la Hoya "girls" or "women" for being afraid of fighting a tough puncher, are really a bunch of ignorant morons as well. So does that mean that being a woman or a girl, makes you a coward automatically? What a bunch of morons.

Canelo is a MAN, he does not want to become a woman physically and socially, just because he may be afraid of losing, TO ANOTHER MAN. He may be a coward, or appear to be at this moment because a financial decision by his manager or whatever, but he is still a MAN. Men can be brave, or coward, every bit the same as women or transgender women (or men) can be. Being brave or a coward has NOTHING TO DO with biological gender or gender identity .

So many foolish kids (and if they are adults, OMG, they should be institutionalized, what a bunch of morons) on forums like this one. I rarely mention I am a female fan of the sport --like sooo many others, who prefer to never mention their gender to avoid problems with macho-minded morons-- because I know that that bunch of under-aged buttheads would start ganging up on me, telling me to go to the kitchen, to stop commenting on things I have no idea about or whatever. OBVIOUSLY, the ****ty interim " title " cannot be recorded as a legitimate defence..... as admitted by the WBA themselves when they promised to permanently remove those interim "titles" as they became vacant.

If the WBA themselves regard that title as second-rate, then I don't see how anyone can disagree with them.
