Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Will Root For Salido To Beat Vargas - Then Revenge

New York - For a boxer who is officially taking part in his 7th pro fight, there are a lot of story lines for Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1, 3KOs). On June 11th, he has the opportunity to become a two time two weight division world title should he defeat Roman Rocky' Martinez.

I like Lomencheko but I think he should focus on being more active than waiting on an old Salido that I doubt beats Vargas.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Salido rematch happens eventually, win or lose.

I'll echo what others are saying. I just don't see Salido beating Vargas. The guy is getting up there in age and has been in some wars and the Vargas fight will likely be a war. This will end up being like 4 straight rock em sock em robot fights in a row for Salido. While I like a guy who wants to avenge a loss, Salido just is'nt going to be the same fighter that fought Loma the first time imo if they were to rematch.

Let's hope not. Hopefully he makes weight and fights a clean fight.

Loma just needs to fight ffs. He's on that Danny Garcia schedule. Loma gonna be retiring at 34 with like 15 fights or something the way he's going. And thats cool & all if he's fighting the fights, but I can't pronounce & haven't heard of half of his opponents at this point & 5 of his 6 fights have been title fights.

He is fighting Martinez next. Absolutely nothing wrong with fighting a legit top five 130lber, who also has a strap, as his first fight at 130.
