Comments Thread For: Terry Flanagan: Cut The Bulls***, Get The Crolla Fight Done

Terry Flanagan has insisted that the fans will be the ones to lose out if a fight between him and his lightweight rival Anthony Crolla doesn't materialise.

The WBO world champion (30-0, 12 KOs) was ringside last weekend as he watched his fellow Manchurian dismantle dangerous Venezuelan mandatory challenger Ismael Barroso.

And Flanagan, whose last fight was a defence of his crown at Liverpool's ECHO Arena against Derry Mathews in March, hopes that he and the aforementioned WBA champ Crolla can one day grace their Manchester Arena home in a highly-anticipated unification showdown.

We got a guy named Rances Barthelemy if you need work..both these euros-bums will duck 'Kid Blast'. They rather avoid each other and hope to get a unification with old chiny Linares.

        Nobody cares.

Back on topic, this fight needs to happen. Warren & Flanagan seem keen to get it made, Frank has even said he's fine with the fight being on Sky. Gallagher & his team don't seem as keen though.

          Mancunian, not 'Manchurian'.

          They're Mancs, not Programmed Assassins.

I care. Let Flanagan stew. Should Crolla beat him, he still has to come out of the UK to get a mega fight. Building a fan base in the US is worth more than domestic bragging rights. Ask Khan.

Not at lightweight and lightWW - the fight to be made is between the 2 of them, just the same as Khan and Brook should have been made last summer. If a boxer is not even acknowledged as the best in his country it makes no sporting sense and possibly no financial sense to disappear overseas. How are Flanagan or Crolla going to make more fighting any other lightweight?

I laughed at that part too. "His fellow Manchurian."

This seems like it would be a big fight in the UK. I hope they make it happen and that Hearn stops ducking.
