The ENTIRE WORLD waited for Benn and Eubank (life does exist outside of the US, you know?), ALL of their fights attracted multi-million audiences in countries such as Australia, New Zealand etc.

If only England waited for Benn and Eubank, then how come there was a world-wide audience of 1.9 billion tuning in for their rematch (more than any other fight of the 1990's).

As for Ali/Frazier, I agree with Scully it was probably the biggest fight of all-time. But I agree with Moschino that the Benn/Eubank rivalry was greater, when Benn and Eubank got together outside of the ring - it was special. The whole country knew they hated eachothers guts, the little old lady walking down the street knew.

Okay, so their rematch was screened to 79 different countries for nothing?

Your such a ******. I just can't catch my breath.

Now, man, you correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the World War between England and Germany? Hmm.

          Good post.
Thanks, and I understand your argument about lineal/linear. You're right in the strict technical sense- tracing the lineage back to the John L Sullivan days and all. But I think when a champion retires with the championship then a new lineage can begin when the belts are unified again. I think that's the common definition of the term nowadays. Normally used to describe the championship that a former unified champion had after the belts were stripped from him for one reason or another. If not, then we'd eventually lose the term as champions retire with belts.

Ok Really Who Cares About Your British Commonwealth Or Whatever Its Called. New Zealand, Scotland, Its All Part Of England. America Is The Mecca Of Boxing, The Home Boxing And Where Everything Matters. Eubanks Fights Over Here, Where It Matters, Upto I Think One Of His Fights With Roy Close Was On Probox On A Tuesday Night On Espn, After He Signed For Matchroom Promotions. So His Fights Were Not Even Live Over Here. I Think His First Fight On Probox Was Against Randy Smith Who Was Well Known As A Defensive Wizard Over Here But Hardly Anybody Watched Probox, I Saw Eubanks The First Time He Was On But He Was Never A Top Name Over Here. He Was Just The Weird Limey, We Didnt Even Take Eubanks Seriously He Was A Borderline Joke. His Posing Got Boring To The Point Where I Preferred It When Baby Jake Matala Or Sugarboy Malinga Were On. Or A Young Lennox Or Young Prince.

Trust Me Eubank Was Not Respected Over Here In The States. Nigel Benn Had Fights Live On National Tv Over Here Because He Actually Came To Fight And Earned Respect Where Eubank Was Just A Joke. Benns Absolute Anihilation Of Granite Chinned Doug Dewitt And His Shocking Single Round Demolition Of Iran Barkley Were Caught On The Abc Channel, His Beard And Sparkly Dressing And Bob Arums Praises Set Him For Superstardom And With Fights Against Leonard, Hearns And Duran In The Works Benn Truly Was The English Hagler Or 90s Hagler Until Eubank Stepped In And Ruined It All. Eubanks Was Just A Pain In The Arse For Boxing Really. And What About Michael Watson, Schooled Benn On Nbc Then Gave Mccallum A Hell Of A Fight Also On Nbc, Then Handed Eubank His Ass Twice. Benn And Michael Watson Fough Fighters That Eubank Would Not Go Anywhere Near In Barkley, Mccallum And Mcclellan. The Only Time Eubank Fought On American Tv Live Was The Second Fight With Benn On Showtime When Benn Was Robbed, But Guess What Showtime And Don King Signed Up Benn Not Eubank And Benn Stayed On Showtime For Rest Of His Career. Why Was That? Maybe Because He Held A Real World Title And Not A Wbogus Belt And Maybe Because Benn Actually Came To Fight. **** Eubanks, Forget That Fraud.

You mean the British Empire? Like, most of the ****ing world? Some of the biggest countries on earth such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada - all part of the British Empire.

You speak for all American's, well I've got news for you - LIFE DOES EXIST OUTSIDE OF THE US.

                    WHAT?????? ****ING WHAT???

Just like Joe Calzaghe is from England right

New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere - you ignorant, American piece of filfth. So New Zealand not only is a completely different country to England (lol, I can't believe I'm actually taking my time out to write This), but is on the other side of the ****ing earth.

Scotland is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COUNTRY to England. English hate Scot's and vice-versa.

Wales, where Joe Calzaghe is from, is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COUNTRY to England. English hate Welsh and vice-versa.

                    Now **** off, you weirdo.

Yeah, that's because he signed a huge money deal with Sky Sports (British TV channel, non-terrestrial) where he would be paid £10million if he won eight fights inside the following 12 months (starting at London's Olympia, against Amaral).
