NEW YORK Chris Algieri has a more informed opinion about the Canelo Alvarez-Amir Khan fight than most because he fought Khan and sparred against Alvarez. [Click Here To Read More]
Chris has sneaked up on me and become one of my favourite fighters. This dude is limited in terms of ability, but has taken his chance and secured himself fights big enough that he'll be able to start his own gym, do something related to sports nutrition, or even open up that hybrid gym/medical practise thing to treat athletes and ****. He's smart, always clean, takes his profession seriously and is always in the best possible shape, etc. He may be may be a FNF level boxer, but he's manoeuvred himself into being in that "He's a former World Champ, should be a tough test for a prospect" category.
He also talks a lot of sense here. Glad his demolition at the hands of Spence hasn't made him super delusional like Khan after Garcia sparked him.
Algieri is right. Khan's got big balls. He's no effing tweeting teenager like Lara. When Khan wants the fight, he does something about it, not just tweet. He talks to Haymon, Hoya, Arum, you name it.
Thirteen million dollars. It's not like Canelo has a gun. Josesito did it the hard way too. Khan isn't Canelo's first blown up jr welter, he's bloated on them.
Khan should give his balls to Canelo. I wanna see Candela vs GGG.
Wouldn't that have been something to look forward to tonight rather than seeing Khan running and grabbing and staggering all over the place. Canelo needs to fight these proper guys at 160 or give up the title.

He's a really genuine person, he stopped by the G.G. tournament last year. Sad to see what's going with him and his promoter on the financial end though. I think he's going to eventually become a promoter since he's invested in young talent here in the big apple.
People need to stop the unreasonable hate on Khan. He did pursue such dangerous fight. He could have said no. Which is why tweeters like Lara and Decubas are full of ****. If you want a fight, then do something not just tweet.
