Although Badou Jack landed way more punches than Lucian Bute (278-179) and was supremely accurate (40% overall, 61% power) two of the judges apparently were swayed by Bute's activity, which surged from 48.5 punches per round in the first four rounds to 83 in rounds 5-12. Jack, a noted body puncher, connected 107 times to the flanks while Bute connected just 23 times there.
