  • Comments Thread For: Roman Gonzalez-McWilliams Arroyo: Pre-Fight Report Card

Both men know what it's like to be called a world champion. Only one knows what it feels like to get paid for it. Saturday night, on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin-Dominic Wade (HBO, 10 PM EST/7 PM PST), 2008 Olympian and 2009 world amateur flyweight champion McWilliams Arroyo has the second title opportunity of his professional career. He'll only have to knock off the man many think might be the best fighter in any weight class today.

Good fight, I really like this one and I'm truly looking forward to watching it tonight. Arroyo has a good chance but Roman is a special talent.

Yeah really looking forward to this as well. I'm interested to see how how roman looks against a fighter in his prime. It's literally been years since he's fought someone like that. Torn on who to root for here. I think arroyo has a chance to hurt him if he catches him.

            Lmao

I think so. He's a decorated amateur fighter and he arguably beat the other undefeated flyweight champ, amnat. It's definitely a competitive fight.

I can't believe Roman Gonzalez is a 100/1 favorite in the bookies. Arroyo is a solid fighter.

According to some odds forecasts, Gonzalez would be a 2/1 favorite to beat Inoue. Might not be anyone who would be favored to beat him.

Okada outworked him and Amnat did a lot of dirty stuff, pushing, take downs, holding and hitting, he should have been penalized, but there were no robberies.
