Oh...so you meant a pound higher. That would be fine if canelo wasn't the MIDDLE WEIGHT CHAMPION. Really tho...what would the problem have been with ward vs ggg at 164? That's more concession than canelo is willing to give...and he's the ****ing champion. I understand people don't like ggg and all the hype he gets cuz racism blah blah blah...but getting behind what canelo is doing just to spite ggg fans is laughable.

Blah Blah Blah...fight at a pound higher which is an advantage compared
to 154, take canelo's belt make biggest payday...it's reallly that simple...
Belts don't mean ****...money does...that's why he wants to fight
          money mayweather...a retired 147 pounder...lol...that unification spill
is just to save face and from getting that ass handed to him from the higher weights and tougher competition...can go up for ramirez at 168 but ward at 164 which just means he's scared of Ward and knows he'll lose...only taking fights he's favored to win...how old?...lol...heart of a champion ya'll...

Whatever stories you want to tell yourself. Everybody in and around any weight Mayweather has fought at has been trying to cash in on him...i even recall ward mentioning it. Fighters fight for $$$ above all these days. Canelo doesn't want to defend his mw belt at the limit...so he fights khan? That's fine, but ggg is picking on little floyd? Ggg should move down 5 pounds to fight canelo for his biggest payday, but ward shouldn't have gone to 164 for his? I see how this works. I don't even like getting into all this bs...fighters doing this **** and it all being public has ruined the sport...or even the illusion of it being about the best fighting the best. **** all of them pretty much.

When your that good you rarely will find an opponent where you won't be the betting favorite. But when you fighting 50-1 and 100-1 type underdogs changes need to be made.

That's circus style fights. Buster Douglas was only a 42-1.

He wants to cash in on a figher that he outweighs as much as Andre Ward outweighs him...now he doesn't want to fight the biggest cash cow today in boxing at a pound higher than he would if he fought floyd at 154...you see Triple G believes he can beat floyd at 154...he doesn't believe he can beat canelo at 155...if it was about money...he would concede and cash in on canelo...it's really that simple

It's as "simple" as you want to make it. Let's see you apply the same rationale to fighters you like. If canelo wasn't the mw champion and was campaigning as an actual jrmw...I'd say a cw would be in order. At this point, if ggg thinks he can comfortably make 155, I'd say he should just do it to make the fight...in no way does that excuse canelo imo. Fans that take sides and excuse bs cuz they like fighters is not helping. At the end of the day, regardless of who said what and how you interpret it...ggg said he would move down to fight floyd at a weight floyd fought at (i think it's too high a weight for retired floyd, and possibly too much for ggg to cut)...said he'd fight ward at a cw which was in the middle (fair to both imo)...and wants to fight canelo at the weight where they both hold belts(as i said before if canelo vacates the belt and moves back to jrmw, then a 157 cw would be fair). This stuff is not over the top.

it's not about liking anyone...and i l like Triple G...he's just being a douche right now and what he did to ward is now being done to him...i call a spade a spade and he is a very heavy hypocrite especially after challenging the 168 division but handicapping ward at 164 so he can win but willing to fight ramirez a non-slick boxer not of African descent at the full 168 so he can pad his record as a smw champ by defeating one of the weakest ones...he can't **** with the real bros and he knows it...protecting him against euro bums an unranked competition...he wants money not mw belts...and for that he's a hoe...

What does this have to do with anything? Yea...i bet you're a big ggg fan.

There's a difference between the situation with ggg and ward and what's going on with canelo. If ggg had won a belt at smw and wanted ward to move down to 161 to unify...then it'd be the same. If canelo didn't have a mw belt and said he'd fight lemieux at 160 and ggg at 157...then it'd be the same. I get why ward didn't want to cut the weight...he was a big smw, ggg wasn't ready to move up either, so the fight didn't happen. Ward moved up, ggg is still trying to unify...end of story. I don't get why people are hung up on this like it's the only fight in history that failed to materialize. The only difference is, nowadays you have these tmz style freelance "reporters" with their own agendas trying to coax trash talk from fighters so they can take it out of context and use it for their click bait articles. Then it gets diced up into 15 different quotes and posted on here in 15 different threads, and people think a guy is constantly talking ****, when it was all from one 3min interview.
