Because he suppost to be a prize FIGHTER not a statistical analysis. Its simple really if you dont want to get hurt dont get into the sport of professional boxing. A fighters heart is whats suppost set him apart froma an ordinary man. The averge man would continue to fight with broken rips,fractured jaw,ripped tougue or any of the other horrible injuries fighters have encountered in the ring. Its like a game **** these men are suppost to be a total different breed. Martin showed no heart and direspectwd the sport by smiling then making an act of trying to be the count, pathetic

Great post. I feel the same way. He showed on Saturday that he does not have the heart to be great. Maybe he will learn and go back to the drawing board and come back better and want to prove he is not a coward. Maybe he gives us some thrills and becomes champion again someday. In the same breath, maybe not!

The sky commentator mentioned Aerrola's name, Haye butted in and said that wouldn't last as long as this one.

Aerrola would beat Chuck Martin but Joshua is in another league destined for greatness. Haye shoots his mouth off but has done little in boxing but talk and look crazy. Joshua could become the next Cassius Clay if managed correctly.

It wasn't as much a dive as he just quit after he tasted what was coming his way. It was clear that if he had gotten up Joshua would have finished him and Martin knew it.

Yeah that's a little silly. Buster Douglas got up at like 9.5 versus Tyson. Can you imagine if he waved it off because he wasn't up at 8? Lol ref is a clown. That being said he had no shot. The guy is not even a top 20 hw.

Firstly Martin was given a long count and it's at least 12 seconds if you time it....secondly he was just on his way up and it reached 10 and lastly Martin knew he was outgunned and had no chance and he was intimidated from the very start of the fight.....

No, you have the whole 10 sec. to get on your feet and if you're up when the ref says 10, according to the rules, the fight is suppose to resume. The ref cheated. It's just that simple.

well martin tried to shoot up at 9.5 seconds... I counted 10 myself but what I'm talking about was the ref saying that he must be on his feet by the 8 count. That's what I was calling bs about.

That would only be relevant if he were not made aware of what was expected of him and he were 'caught out' unknowingly. He was aware and in any case, the bottom line is he wound up getting closer to 14 seconds and still hadn't stood straight.

People make a last grasp effort to make it up fractions before the 10 and aren't in a state to fight on. The ref can wave a fight off any time the fighters not got his faculties about him, knockdown or not.

Yea true a guy can take a serious pummeling and never go down maybe the ref should wave it off if that said guy wasn't fighting back as much etc
