Hope he gets well. I heard some people complain it should have been stopped sooner. That can be a problem being the home town hero, anywhere. A visitor will get the fight stopped for much less damage. The home body carries the home town pride and is allowed to go on beyond that limit. It's hard to explain, as if your guy can take it better too.
